W HEREAS we have thought fit, by and with the advice and consent of Our Executive Council of Our Province of Ontario, to dissolve the present Legislative Assembly of Our said Province, which stands prorogued to the TWENTY-EIGHTH day of MARCH next; Now KNOW YE, that we do for that end publish this Our Royal Proclamation, and do hereby dissolve the said Legislative Assembly accordingly, and the Members thereof are discharged from their meeting and attendance on the said TWENTY-EIGHTH day of MARCH next. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent, and the Great Seal of Ontario to be hereunto affixed: WITNESS Our Right Trusty and Well-beloved WILLIAM PEARCE HOWLAND, a Companion of the most Honourable Order of the Bath, Lieutenant-Gover nor of Our Province of Ontario, at Our Government House, in Our City of Toronto, in Our said Province, this TWENTY-FIFTH day of FEBRUARY, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one, and in the thirty-fourth year of Our Reign.
