The Journey of Indonesian Painting

The Journey of Indonesian Painting presents 200 selected paintings from the Bentara Budaya collection spanning the period from the 1940s through the last years of the twentieth century. Such a long time span enables the book to become a reference on what has happened within the Indonesian world of painting; and on what has and has not been achieved by the Indonesian painters recognized as eminent in their field, or by newly-emerging artists who have gained international reputations.
