(6). 1716-34, Frederick Myndertse on the corner of Spanish street; had permission to use 15 feet of land north of his house for a smith's shop leaving 6 feet space between it and the stockades. Spanish street, now Hudson, was laid out 23 feet 8 inches wide between the houses of Frederick Myndertse and Ahasuerus Marselis, on the 4th of July, 1716.-A. An., VII, 57; viii, 242; x, 50.

(15). 1676-86, "the new burying ground" of the church "adjoining the palisades. 1703-7, this lot was filled up; 1710, released by the city. The rear line of this lot was made by the palisades, being nearly 100 feet north of Hudson street at this point. The horse guards blockhouse was at the adjacent gate in Green street.-Alb. The tier of 12 lots 98% feet deep on the north side of Hudson street were sold in 1730, at which time probably the street was opened through to Pearl street.

Norton street was not opened until after 1680; all the lots on the north side of Beaver street bounded northerly on the Fuyck or Rutten kil.

(1). Jacob Janse Van Noorstrant; the brewer, had a patent in 1652-79, for a lot
on the east corner of Beaver and South Pearl street, 9 rods by 8%; this
patent seems to have been divided into three smaller parcels (1), (2) and (3);
1680, he conveyed lot (1) to Hendrick Gerritse Vander Meulen; on this lot
Theunis Slingerland then had a house.-Patents, 929; Deeds, III, 57.
