North Pearl, west side, between Steuben and Columbia,

The palisades on the north side of the village crossed North Pearl at first 192 feet north
of Maiden lane; later 342 feet north of the same street; at the next remove probably at the
junction of Columbia street, and finally in 1744, during the old French war at the present
Canal street.

All the land from a point a few feet south of Steuben street nearly to the Vossen kil
(to Canal street ?), and lying west of North Pearl was patented in 1667, to Andries De Vos.
The dimensions of this plat were 30 rods on the north side, 31 rods on the south, 23 rods on
the east and 15 rods on west. In 1675, De Vos conveyed this parcel of land to the church
who conveyed the same the next year to Cornelis Van Dyck for a hop yard.- Alb. Co. Rec.,
