Their dealers from the day of And also they do hereby feverally and rei are not to take fpectively request, direct and appoint, all and every of their respective in any butter factors, deputies and agents, not to buy, receive or take from the faid farmers, or any other perfon or perfons whomfoever, fo making, vend ing, trading and felling butter, in the counties aforesaid, except within next after the date hereof, (which time is allowed for making use of such pots as are already iffued out) any other pots packed with butter on their accounts, but fuch only as fhall be fo fized and marked, and filled with butter in manner as aforefaid; and for which purpose, they the said factors or agents are hereby defired and required by the faid perfons executing thefe prefents, to enter into articles with the faid S. S. that they will not receive and take any other pots of butter on their account than only fuch pots as fhall be fo filled, fized and marked as aforefaid: And further, That none of them the said hereby subscrib ing perfons fhall or will receive any other pots of butter from any perfon or perfons whomfoever in the counties aforefaid, (except as aforefaid,) but fuch only as shall be so filled, fized and marked as aforefaid; And further, That they the faid feveral perfons executing these presents fhall and will, during the faid term of two years as aforefaid, allow and pay him the faid S. S. or his affigns, (in confideration of his trouble in buying of, and having fuch pots fo fized, marked and difpofed of to farmers and other perfons as aforefaid, and also to the intent to enable him to profecute all or any fuch perfon fo offending as aforefaid, (in cafe he fhall fo think fit) for every fuch pot of butter which they respectively fhall receive from the faid counties of Derby and Stafford, or either of them, the fum of one penny for each fuch pot of butter; the fame to be paid to the faid S. S. or his affigns, at Afbburne, in the faid county of Derby, by the factors of the faid feveral perfons executing hereof, on the delivery of, or within days next after their receipt of every fuch pot of butter; And in cafe of their or any of their neglect or refusal fo to do, then the fame to be paid to the faid S. S. by fuch of the faid perfons executing these prefents, whofe factor or agent shall have refufed or neglected to pay the fame in the country, at the place aforefaid, at their respective houfes in London, and places adjacent. Item, The faid S. S. in confideration of one penny per pot of butter, fo to be paid to him as aforefaid, doth hereby covenant to and with the faid feveral perfons executing of these prefents, in manner as follows, (that is to fay,) That he the faid S. S. or fome perfon on his behalf, (in cafe of any indifpofition of his health) fhall and will take care to furnish all fuch farmers, and other perfons making, vending, trading or felling butter in the counties aforefaid, with fuch pots as aforefaid; and also shall take and give an account to the perfons executing of thefe prefents, if at any time fo required, of all fuch pots as he fhall deliver out for the ufe of any of the faid fubfcribers, who fhall require the fame: And alfo fhall and will, to the utmost of his power, take care that all fuch pots fhall be fo fized and marked as aforefaid, and be according to their just and true weight; And further, that he the faid S. S. fhall not nor will, at any time during the term aforefaid, mark or tare any fuch pot or pots, bot fuch only as are and fhall be of fuch dimenfion and fize as will hold the full quantity of 20 pounds of butter, according to the direction of the faid ftatute, and the true intent and meaning of these prefents. Articles of Agreement indented, &c. Between S. M. Senior, of, &c. and S. M. Junior, of, &c, of the one Part, and J. S. Son of H. S. of, &c. of the other Part, as follows; (that is to fay,)

'HE faid 7. S. for the confiderations hereunder mentioned, doth covenant, promife and agree to and with the faid S. M. junior, his executors, adminiftrators and affigns, by thefe prefents, That he the faid 7. S. fhall and will, when required by the faid S. M. fenior, go abroad and fail in and with fuch fhip or veffel as fhall be provided in that behalf for G. aforefaid; and immediately upon his arrival there, will enter into the fervice of and for (and during the term of three years, to be accounted from his arrival at G. aforefaid, will continue with) the faid S. M. junior, and diligently and faithfully to the utmost of his ability, employ himself in, and do and perform all fuch bufinefs and fervice at G. aforefaid, or elsewhere, as well in keeping the books and accounts of the faid S. M. junior, or otherwife, relating to the trade and business of a merchant, which the faid S. M. junior, now useth at G. as he the faid S. M. junior, shall from time to time direct and order; and that he the faid 7. S. fhall and will from time to time render and give a jutt and true account, and discharge himself of, for and from all monies, goods, bills, accounts and things whatsoever, which shall come into his charge, care or difpofition, during the said term, of or belonging to the faid S. M. junior, his executors or administrators, or any other perfon or perfons whatfoever, wherewith he or they fhall or may be chargeable; and that he will keep the fecrets of his faid mafter in and relating to his trade and bufinefs. In confideration whereof, and of the fervice to be performed by the faid F. S. as aforefaid, the faid S. M. fenior, doth for himself, his executors and administrators, for and on the behalf of the faid S. M. junior, covenant, promife and agree to and with the faid F. S. his executors, adminiftrators and affigus, That he the faid S. M. junior, his executors or affigns, fhall truly pay, or caufe to be paid, unto the faid F. S. at G. aforefaid, for the first year of the faid term of three years, the fum or value of - 7. fterling; and for the fecond year of the faid term, the fum or value of 1. of like money; and for the last year of the faid term of three years, the fum or value of. of like money, by equal quarterly payments, during

And it is provided, declared and agreed, by and between the faid parties, That if the faid S. M. Junior, his executors or administrators, after the faid F. S.'s arrival at G. aforefaid, fhall find him not capable, or if the faid 7. S. fhall not be diligent and faithful in the doing and performing of the fervice and bufinefs of keeping the books and accounts of the faid S. M. junior, or fuch other bufinefs wherein he fhall employ him in his trade and merchandizing, as aforefaid, that then and in any of the faid cafes, the faid S. M. junior, his executors or adminiftrators, after three months notice, or warning, for that purpose given to the faid 7. S. fhall and may discharge the faid 7. S. from his aid fervice, he paying him for his fervice to fuch the time of his discharge, and 37. for his paffage to E. And that the said S. M. fenior, or S. M. junior, their executors or adminiftrators, or either or any of them, fhall not from such the faid discharge of the faid J. S. be chargeable to allow, or pay to the faid 7. S. all, or any of the faid refpective yearly fums aforefaid, for fuch time of the faid three years, which fhall be then to come and unexpired; these prefents, or any thing therein to the contrary notwithstanding. S. for himself, his heirs, executors and adminiftrators, doth covenant, promife, grant and agree, to and with the said A. fon's fervice, H. his executors, administrators and affigns, in manner and form following, that is to fay, that for and in confideration of the faid A. H.'s ac ceptance of the faid J. R. into his fervice as his clerk, and the fum of 137%. in hand paid to him by the faid J. S. the receipt of which faid fum the faid 4. H. doth hereby acknowledge, and of the covenants and agreements herein after these prefents mentioned on the part and behalf of the faid A. H. his executors and administrators, to be performed, fulfilled and kept, he the faid J. R. fhall and will well, faithfully and dili gently ferve him the faid A. H. after the manner of a clerk, in the prac tice and profeffion that he the said A. (one of the Attornies of his Majefty's Court of Common Pleas at Westminster) of the one Part, and R. B. of the parish of St. Dunstan aforefaid, Clock and Watchmaker, and A. B. (Son to the faid R. B.) of the other Part, as followeth :
