To incorporate the First Methodist Protestant Congregation of Youngstown, in the county of Trumbull.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That William S. Thorn, Abraham Powers, Robert Grierson, Philip Kimmel, Henry Manning, Francis Barkley, and Edward D. King, and their associates, and those who may hereafter be associated with them, be, and they are hereby, created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the "First Methodist Protestant Congregation of Youngstown," in the county of Trumbull, agreeably to an act passed March 5th, 1836, entitled "An act in relation to incorporated religious societies;" and shall hold their first meeting for the election of officers, by the persons named in this act, or a majority of them, giving ten days' notice in writing, posted up in three public places, of the time and place of holding the same.

To incorporate the First Religious Congregational Society of Pittsfield, in the County of Lorain.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That William Lucas, David Hitchcock, Hiram Welsh, Joel Wilder, B. F. Worcester, Josiah Barnard, Cornelius Gifford, and their associates, are created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the First Religious Congregational Society of Pittsfield, agreeably to an act passed March the 5th, 1836, entitled "An act in relation to incorporated religious societies;" and shall hold their first meeting for the election of their officers, by the persons named in this act, giving ten days' notice in writing, posted up in three public places, of the time and place of holding the same.

To incorporate the First Methodist Episcopal Church of New Cumberland, in Tuscarawas county.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That John Salisbury, John Copes, Moses Williams, John C. Rickey, Isaac Jackson, Samuel Lappin, and Reason Watkins, and their associates, and those who may hereafter be associated with them, be, and they are hereby created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the "First Methodist Episcopal Church of New Cumberland," agreeably to an act passed March 5th, 1836, entitled "An Act in relation to incoporated Religious Societies," and shall hold their first meeting for the election of officers by the persons named in this act, or a majority of them, giving ten days' notice in writing, posted up in three places, of the time and place of holding the same.

AN ACT

To amend an act entitled "An act to incorporate the town of Harmer, in the counto of Washington," passed March 23, 1837.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That all that part of the township of Marietta, which lies on the west side of the Muskingum river, and east of the two hundred and fifty-two acre lot, number thirty-five, and of the one hundred and eight acre lot, number twenty-two, and between the said lots and the Muskingum and the Ohio. rivers, be, and the same is hereby constituted a body corporate by the name of the town of Harmer; and the said town shall have, and may exercise concurrent rights and municipal jurisdiction on the said Muskingum river, and adjoining the said town with the town of Marietta.

Sec. 2. That the time of holding the annual election, as provided for in the eighth and ninth sections of the act to which this is amendatory, is hereby changed from the second Monday of April to the first Monday of March: Provided, That if for any cause, such election be not held on the first Monday of March in any year, the same may be held on any subsequent Monday of March or April, due notice thereof being given by the Mayor.

Sec. 3. That the said town council, composed of the mayor and trustees aforesaid, shall, within twenty days from the annual election, elect a recorder and treasurer, and appoint other officers, as is provided for by the tenth section of the act to which this is an amendment.

That so much of the first, eighth, ninth and tenth sections of the said act of March 23, 1837, as is inconsistent with, or restrictive of, the provisions of this act, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

AN ACT

To incorporate the First Congregational Church and Society of La Fayette, in the County of Medina.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That Milo Loomis, Matthew Leffingwell, Silas Gates, Ira Brooks, and Samuel Curtiss, and those who now are, or hereafter may be, associated with them, be, and they are hereby, created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the "First Congregational Church and Society of La Fayette," agreeably to an act passed March 5th, A. D., 1836, entitled "An act in relation to incorporated religious societies," and shall hold their first meeting, for the election of officers, by the persons named in this act, or a majority of them, giving at least ten days' notice in writing, posted up within the limits of the proposed society, in three public places, stating the time and place of holding said meeting.

To incorporate the first Free Will Baptist Church of Christ, in Chester, in the county of Geauga.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That Samuel B. Philbrick, Edwin Jones, Origen Miner, Abner Sumner and Jonathan A. Chilson, and those who may hereafter be associated with them, are hereby created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the "First Free Will Baptist Church of Christ, in Chester," agreeably to an act passed March 5, 1836, entitled "An act in relation to incorporated religious societies;" and shall hold their first meeting for the election of officers, by any three or more of the persons named in this act, giving ten days' notice in writing, posted up in three public places in the township, of the time and place of holding the same.

To incorporate the First Baptist Church of Sullivan, in the county of Lorain.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That Daniel H. Austin, Joseph Carlton, Thomas Rice, and their associates, are hereby created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the "First Baptist Church of Sullivan," agreeably to an act passed March 5th, 1836, entitled "An act in relation to incorporated religious societies;" and shall hold their first meeting for the election of their officers, by the persons named in this act, giving ten days' notice in writing, posted up in three public places, of the time and place of holding the same.

AN ACT

To lay out and establish a graded State Road in the counties of Morgan and

Guernsey.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That Benjamin W. Talbott and Henry Hunter, of Morgan county, and William C. Bay, of Guernsey county, are hereby appointed commissioners, and John F. Tally, surveyor, to lay out and establish a graded State road, to commence at the graded State road from Somerset to the flats of Grave creek, at some suitable point on what is called the Coburn place, in Bristol township, Morgan county; thence to the farm of David Green, in Brookfield township; thence to Cumberland, in the county of Guernsey; said road in no case to exceed an angle of six degrees with the horizon.

Sec. 2. That, should either of the commissioners or surveyor die, remove out of the county, or refuse to serve, the county commissioners of Morgan county shall fill such vacancy, as often as it may occur; and, in case of disagreement between the commissioners appointed in the first section of this act, the surveyor shall act as umpire.

Sec. 3. That the commissioners and surveyor aforesaid, shall be governed, in all respects, by the laws now in force defining the mode of laying out and establishing State roads, and shall receive the fees provided for in said act, passed March 14, 1831.

AN ACT

To lay out and establish a State Road in the counties of Vanwert and Putnam.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That John M. Dodd, of Vanwert county, and John Ridanour, of Putnam county, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners, to lay out and establish a State road in the aforesaid counties, commencing at the town. of Willshire, in Vanwert county; thence the nearest and best route to Vanwert, in said county; thence on the most suitable route to Franconia, in Putnam county.

Sec. 2. That the commissioners aforesaid shall be governed, in all respects, by the law now in force, defining the mode of laying out and establishing State roads, passed March 14, 1831; and should either of said commissioners die, refuse to serve, or remove out of the county, the commissioners of the county, in which such vacancy may occur, are hereby authorized to fill the same.

Bishop, and their associates, are hereby created a body politic and corporate, by the name of the First Congregational Church of Carlisle," agreeably to an act passed March 5, 1836, entitled "An act in relation to incorporated religious societies," and shall hold their first meeting for the election of their officers, by the persons named in this act, or a majority of them, giving ten days' notice in writing, posted up in three public places, one of which shall be the usual place of holding meetings of said society, of the time and place of holding the same.
