IN CITY COUNCIL: RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Portsmouth, that the Committee on Printing be instructed to employ a suitable person to arrange the Ordinances of this City, and put them in proper form for printing; and that a sufficient number of copies thereof, together with the City Charter, be printed and suitably bound for the use of the City Council, and that the same be paid for out of any money in the Treasury not required for immediate use. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of hepresentatives in General Court convened, That the inhabi. tants of the town of Portsmouth, in the County of Rockingham, shall continue to be a body corporate and politic, under the name of the City of Portsmouth; and as such, shall have, exercise and enjoy all the rights, immunities, powers and privileges, and shall be subject to all the duties and obligations now incumbent upon and appertaining to said town, as a municipal corporation. |
