DISTRICT CLERR'S OFFICE. BE it remembered, that on the twenty-eighth day of October, A. D. 1816, and in the forty-first year of the Independence of the United States of America, Thomas B. Wait and Sons, of the said district, have deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof they claim as proprietors, in the words following, to wit:
- State Papers and Publick Documents of the United States, from the accession of George Washington to the Presidency, exhibiting a complete view of our Foreign Relations since that time. In ten volumes. Second edition. Published under the patronage of Congress. Including Confidential Docuinents, now first published.”
In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, entitled, “ An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned :” and also to an act, entitled, “ An act supplementary to an act, entitled, An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the tunes therein mentioned; and extending the benefits thereof fo the arts of Designing, Eograving and Etching Historical, and otier Prints.”
