Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Minnesota:

SECTION 1. That the following sums of money, or for the support of SO much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same the State Gov- are hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the treasury belonging to the General Revenue Fund for the payment of. the salaries of the State officers, and for the support of the State Government for the year 1866.

1st. For the salary of Governor, twenty-five hun'dred dollars.

2d. For the salary of Secretary of State, twelve hundred dollars.

3d. For the salary of Auditor of State, twelve hundred dollars.

4th. For the salary of State Treasurer, one thousand dollars.

5th. For the salary of Attorney General, one thousand dollars.

6th. For the salary of Adjutant General, twelve hundred dollars.

7th. For the salary of State Libraran, six hundred dollars.

8th. For the salary of State Land Commissioner, five hundred dollars.

9th. For the salary of Janitor, six hundred and twenty-five dollars.

10th. For the salary of Arsenal Keeper, five hundred dollars.

11th. For the salary of Night Watchman, five hundred dollars.

23d. For postage, stationery, and other incidental expenses in the office of Auditor of State and State Land Office, four hundred dollars.

24th. For postage, stationery, and other incidental expenses in the State Treasurer's office and Allotment Agent, three hundred dollars.

25th. For postage, stationery, and other incidental expenses in the Adjutant General's office, four hundred dollars.

26th. For postage, stationery, and other incidental expenses in the office of Attorney General, seventyfive dollars.

27th. For salaries of Judges of the Supreme and District Courts, eighteen thousand dollars.

28th. For salary of Clerk of the Supreme Court, six hundred dollars.

29th. For salary of the Supreme Court Reporter, six hundred dollars.

30th. For postage, stationery, and other incidental expenses of the Supreme Court, three hundred dollars.

31st. For the purchase of two hundred copies of volume ten of the Reports of the Supreme Court, six hundred dollars.

32d. For per diem, newspapers, stationery and postage certificates of the members and officers of the present Legislature, seven thousand dollars.

33d. For selecting, appraising, advertising and selling lands, three thousand dollars.

34th. For printing and binding the Report of the State officers and executive documents of the eighth regular session of the Legislature, two thousand six hundred and seventy-five dollars.

35th. For incidental printing of the Legislature, four thousand dollars.

For the publication of the general laws of this session in newspapers, three hundred dollars. 39th. For preparing Laws and Journal for publication, and indexing the same, six hundred dollars.

40th. For purchasing five hundred copies of the Revised Statutes, two thousand five hundred dollars.

41st. For the payment of interest and exchange on the eight per cent. loan of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and the seven per cent. war loan of one hundred thousand dollars, twenty-seven thousand one hundred dollars.

42d. For salary of warden, deputy warden, guards, inspectors, chaplain, cook and assistant of the State Prison, four thousand nine hundred dollars.

43d. For medical attendance at the State Prison, two hundred and fifty dollars.

44th. For groceries and provisions, clothing and bedding, fuel and lights, repairs and other incidental expenses of the State Prison, six thousand eight hundred and fifty dollars.

45th. For building of store house for artillery, two hundred and fifty dollars.

46th. For purchase of lot adjoining prison yard, five hundred dollars.

47th. For rent of building for State Arsenal, four hundred dollars.

48th. For expenses properly incurred in the settlement of claims against the United States, to be approved by the Governor, five hundred dollars.

49th. For the support of the indigent insane, subject to the order of the Governor, eight thousand dollars. 50th. For the current expenses of the Deaf, Dumb and Blind Institute, at Faribault, repairs and such other purposes for the use and benefit of the Institution as the trustees shall deem advisable for its best interests, six thousand five hundred dollars.

51st. For fuel and lights for both houses of the Legislature and the several State offices, fifteen hundred dollars.

52d. For mileage of County Treasurers and express charges on State funds, four hundred dollars. 53d. For fees and expenses of sheriffs in conveying Appropriations convicts to State Prison, five hundred dollars.

54th. For repairs of State Capitol, two thousand dollars.

55th. For the incidental expenses of the State Historical Society, five hundred dollars.

56th. For this State's proportion of expenses for national cemeteries, twelve hundred and fifty dollars. 57th. The sum of five thousand dollars is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, in addition to that already appropriated for the erection of a building for the accommodation and education of the deaf, dumb and blind. Provided, that the said sum of five thousand dollars shall be paid from the receipts of the treasury during the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty

seven.

SEC. 24. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

1st. To J. W. Webb, for transportation of powder to new magazine, thirty-two dollars and fifty cents. 2d. To C. C. Miles, for locks and keys and work done on desks in the halls of the Senate and House of Representatives, sixteen dollars.
