This institution is devoted to the training, education and general welfare of orphans, independently of sect or condition.

It is governed by a Board of Trustees, and its internal administration is carried on by twelve Sisters of St. Joseph, under the supervision of the Mother St. Joseph.

The capacity of the institution is two hundred beds, and during the past year there has been almost

constantly that number of inmates. there were 110 girls and 90 boys.

On July 1,

Boys are received only between the ages of two to seven years; girls, between two and twelve.

The largest portion of the revenues of the asylum are derived from the various Roman Catholic churches, the remainder from other charitably disposed persons.

This establishment is entirely of an eleemosynary character, and possesses every needed facility for the health and welfare of the children. It is delightfully located, has well ventilated rooms and proper bathing accommodations.

This is an institution for the support and education of orphans,

It is located on Burling street, at the corner of Centre street.

A bequest was made by the late C. G. Uhlich, of a tract of land, the income from which is used in support of the institution.

The corporate body of the Home is an Association, of which every member who has contributed twenty-five dollars is a life member. Other members are admitted by vote of the Association at such times, upon such terms, and upon such conditions, as may be ordered by the Directors.

Applications for admission to the Home should be made to either member of the Committee on Admission and Discharge; although, in cases of

emergency, the Superintendent is permitted to receive applicants temporarily.

Blank forms of obligation, and any further information desired, may be had by applying to the Superintendent.

The charges for board are: For the first week, $10; for succeeding weeks, $5 to $7.
