delphia and West Chester plank road, to the Haverford road, and then upon the bed of said Haverford road, from the point of connection of the said Coulteses road, westward to the point of termination, as directed by said act, and all the provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, not hereby repealed or supplied, shall be and remain in full force and effect, and shall be applied to the portion of the road hereby authorized to be constructed: Provided, That nothing herein location of road, contained shall permit said president and managers to build their road upon and occupy both Coulteses road and Fisher avenue, nor shall any thing herein contained prohibit said president and managers from making their road upon the whole distance of said Haverford road, mentioned and contemplated in the act to which this is a supplement.

SECTION 3. That the commissioners of the district of Kensington, in the county of Philadelphia, be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered, if they shall deem it expedient so to do, to levy a water rate or tax in lieu of the present water rent upon all the improved real estate in the said district, in front of which pipes of conduit are now or shall be hereafter laid, in such manner as shall seem to them most equitable and proper, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to enforce the payment of such water rates or taxes as is now, or may hereafter be provided, for the assessment and collection of the charges and expenses of paving and laying water-pipes in the said district.

SECTION 4. That the commissioners of the county of Philadelphia are hereby authorized and empowered to open Delaware Sixth street, from Elwood lane to the Wingohocking creek, in the township of the Northern Liberties of said county, as the same is now laid down by law in the plan of the county; the damages to be assessed and paid in like manner as is now prescribed by law for assessing damages for streets opened in the county of Philadelphia: Provided, That the county board shall assent thereto.

SECTION 6. That the seventh section of an act entitled "An Act to change the name of the borough of West Philadelphia to the district of West Philadelphia, and relative to highways in the districts of Kensington and Richmond, in the county of Philadelphia," be, and the same is hereby repealed.

SECTION 7. That so much of the plan of survey of the borough of Frankford, in the county of Philadelphia, made pursuant to the act of Assembly of the fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and forty-one, entitled "An Act to provide for the survey of the borough of Frankford, in said county of Philadelphia, as relates to the survey of any street, road, or public highway through the public burial ground of the said borough," be, and the same is hereby vacated.

SECTION 8. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen tatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly

Smith are hereby appointed inspectors, and John Troup judge, to hold the first election for township officers; said inspectors are hereby authorized and required to publish the usual notice for holding said election. To incorporate the Meadville Cemetery.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That John Dick, John Reynolds, John M'Farland, Frederick Huidekoper, Corporators. Darwin A. Finney, Gaylord Church, Calvin Kingsley, Joseph Derrickson, William Thorp, Horace Cullum, David Derrickson, William Reynolds, James E. M'Farland, Joseph C. Hays, Richard Craighead, James D. Gill, William M'Laughlin, Arthur Cullum, D. Sexton, R. C. Boilean, Kennedy Davis, and Edward Ellis, be, and they and their successors, are hereby created a body politic in law, under the name and title of "The Meadville Cemetery," and by that name and title shall have Style.
