278. An Act to incorporate the Columbia gas company; and relative to the elec-

tion of assessors and constables in Salisbury and Caernarvon townships,

Lancaster county; to lay out a State road from Marietta to Portsmouth;

to require the State Treasurer to refund certain moneys to the adminis-

trators of Ann Kimmel, deceased.

285. An Act for the relief of Nathan P. Brower, Davis E. Brower, Ann W.

Weaver, Grace Sweney, Thomas Weaver, and Ann Bond; incorporating

the Spring Garden institute; and relating to judgments obtained against

school directors.

306. An Act relative to certain school districts in the counties of Westmoreland,

Fayette, Greene, and Wayne and Washington; incorporating the Browns-

ville cemetery; and for the relief of William Buehler.

312. An Act to incorporate the Millersburg and Bailysburg railroad company;

relating to the destruction of fish in certain streams in Cumberland county;

to the claim of Andrew Todd; to the steam-pump and towing company;

to certain streets in the district of Moyamensing; to the Philadelphia,

Baltimore, and Wilmington railroad company; and to fishing in Indian

creek, Fayette county.

349. An Act authorizing the acting trustee, named in the will of Jesse Hal-

lowell, deceased, to sell certain real estate; to the Hebrew society; to

certain election districts; and to the Spring Garden hose company.

357. An Act to authorize and empower the Laurel Hill cemetery company in

Penn township, in the county of Philadelphia, to purchase and hold more

land and ground, and to extend its cemetery limits and for other pur-

poses; relative to sheep and dogs; to the Port Allegany cemetery in the

county of McKean; and granting tavern licenses in the borough of

Wellsboro', in the county of Tioga.

AN ACT

Annulling the marriage contract between Daniel Gross and Barbara his wife.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That

the contract of marriage entered into between Daniel Gross, of the Daniel Gross township of North Whitehall, county of Lehigh, and Barbara his and Barbara his wife, be, and the same is hereby declared null and void, and the par- wife, divorced. ties discharged from all the obligations and liabilities growing out of the same as fully and absolutely as if they had never been joined in marriage.

We do certify that the bill entitled "An Act to annul the marriage contract between Daniel Gross and Barbara his wife," was presented to the Governor on the twelfth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-one, being within ten days of the close of the last session of the Legislature, and not having been sent back within three days of the meeting of the present General Assembly; wherefore it has, agreeably to the Constitution of this Commonwealth, become a law in like manner as if he had signed it.
