No. 1.

AN ACT

Relative to the estate of James Coleman, deceased.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representalives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That

the orphans' court of Lancaster county shall have full power and juris- Orphans' court of diction, on the application of the widow, or any of the heirs personally, Lancaster county, or by guardian of James Coleman, late of the said county, deceased, to power to appoint appoint seven or more disinterested persons residing in the counties of seven men to Lancaster and Lebanon, chosen on behalf and with the consent of the the estate of make partition of parties; or if the parties cannot agree, to award an inquest, and issue James Coleman, their writ to the sheriff of Lancaster county, directing him to summon deceased, or if the the men to compose said inquest from the counties aforesaid, to make parties cannot partition of the real estate of the said James Coleman, situate in the agree, to award counties of Lancaster and Lebanon; the said estate consisting of the an inquest. undivided right, title and interest, held in fee by the said James Coleman at his disease, as tenant in common with others, of and in the lands, tenements and hereditaments, which contain ore of iron, or other metals devised to his sons, as tenants in common by Robert Coleman, deceased, situate in the county of Lebanon or elsewhere, the lands, tenements and hereditaments, known as the "Elizabeth Furnace Estate," situate in the counties of Lancaster and Lebanon, the lands, tenements and hereditaments, known as the "Martic Works" and "Colemanville Works Estate," and other lands situate in said counties.

SECTION 2. The said seven or more men appointed as aforesaid, or the said inquest and the said orphans' court of Lancaster county, shall have jurisdiction as aforesaid, (proceeding therein as if part of said estate,) in respect to the partition of certain lands and tenements, situate in the counties of Lancaster and Lebanon, purchased with funds derived from the iron works on said estate, and conveyed to Harriet Coleman since the death of the aforesaid James Coleman, and now used with or attached to the several iron works aforesaid; and any recognizance taken in pursuance of such proceedings, and the money due thereby, shall as effectually bind the same, as if they were wholly situate in the county of Lancaster, had been held by the said James
