AN ACT to incorporate the Great Androscoggin Falls, Mill Dam, Locks, and Canal Company.

SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre Persons incorpo- sentatives in Legislature assembled, That Edward Little, Josiah Little of Newbury, Thomas B. Little, Josiah Little of Minot, Samuel Pickard, and Edward T. Little, their associ ates, successors and assigns be and they, hereby, are constituted, a body politic and corporate, by the name of Corporate name. the Great Androscoggin Falls, Mill Dam, Locks and Canal Company; for the purpose of erecting and constructing, dams, locks, canals, mills, works, machines and buildings, on their own lands; and also manufacturing cotton, wool, iron, steel, and paper, in the towns of Lewiston, Minot and Danville-and said dams, locks and canals, shall be so constructed as not to obstruct, in any manner, the cus

AN ACT to repeal the incorporation of the proprietors of the Fryeburg

Canal.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in Legislature assembled, That an Act entitled "an Act to incorporate the proprietors of the Fryeburg Canal," passed the second day of March one thousand eight hundred and fifteen, by the General Court of Massachusetts and all Acts and parts of Acts additional thereto, be, and the same are hereby repealed; and all the rights and duties arising under said Act or Acts are hereby rescinded and annulledProvided, however, that nothing in this Act shall be construed to affect or destroy any claim, or claims of any ferson or persons, or of any corporation, which may be, at the time of passing this Act, legally and equitably standing against said corporation.
