II. And whereas it is expedient to repeal an Act passed in the third year of Cal, re- His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act to continue and amend three certain "Acts therein-mentioned, for the better regulation of the Militia of this Pro"vince," Be it therefore further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the said Act passed in the third year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act "to continue and amend three certain Acts therein-mentioned, for the better "regulation of the Militia of this Province," and all and every the provisions, matters and things in the said Act contained, shall be, and the same are bereby repealed from the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty-five.

AN ACT to defray the Travelling Expenses of the Provincial Judge for the Inferior District of Gaspé in his Circuit for holding the General Sessions of the Peace for the said District.

'HEREAS it is expedient to appropriate a certain sum of moneyfor defraying the travelling expences of the Provincial Judge of the Inferior District of Gaspé in his Circuit for holding the Courts of Quarter Sessions in the said Inferior District, the situation of the settlements and the difficulty of the communications in the said District rendering the said Circuit, expensive. May it therefore please Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Assembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, constituted and assembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act passed in the Parliament of Great Britain, intituled, " An "Act to repeal certain parts of an Act passed in the fourteenth year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual provision for the "Government of the Province of Quebec, in North America," and to make further provision for the Government of the said Province;" And it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that from and after the passing of this Act, it allowed Pro- shall be lawful for the Governor Lieutenant-Governor or Person Aministering vincial Judge the Government of the Province for the time being by a Warrant or Warrants under his hand to advance and pay from and out of any unappropriated monies that now are or hereafter may come into the hands of the Receiver-General of the Province for the time being, the sum of ninety pounds sterling for defraying the

qu'il est expédient d'affecter une certaine somme d'argent à défrayer les frais de voyage du Juge Provincial du District Inférieur de Gaspé, dans ses tournées pour tenir les Cours de Sessions de Quartier dans le dit District Inférieur, la situation des établissemens et la difficulté des Communications dans le dit District rendant les dites tournées dispendieuses; Qu'ils plaise donc à Votre Majesté qu'il puisse être statué, et qu'il soit statué par la Très Excellente Majesté du Roi, par et de l'avis et consentement du Conseil Législatif et de l'Assemblée de la Province du Bas-Canada, constitués et assemblés en vertu et sous l'autorité d'un Acte passé dans le Parlement de la Grande-Bretagne, intitulé, "Acte qui "rappelle certaines parties d'un Acte passé dans la quatorzième année du Règne "de Sa Majesté, intitulé, " Acte qui pourvoit plus efficacement pour le Gouvernement de la Province de Québec dans l'Amérique Septentrionale; et qui pourvoit plus amplement pour le Gouvernement de la dite Province; Et il est par le présent statué par la dite autorité, que depuis et après la passation de cet Acte, il sera loisible au Gouverneur, Lieutenant-Gouverneur, ou à la Personne ayant alors l'Administration du Gouvernement de la Province, d'avancer et payer par Warrant ou des Warrants sous son seing, sur les deniers non affectés qui sont maintenant ou qui pourront venir ci-après entre les mains du Receveur-Général de la Province pour le tems d'alors, la somme de quatre-vingt dix Livres sterling
