the sum of fifty-seven pounds currency, with the interest accrued, and to accrue thereupon, shall be refunded to the said Quebec Bank, or to the Cashier of the said Bank for the use thereof, and in discharge of so much remaining due to the said Bank, for advances made to the aforesaid Hospital.

II. And be it declared and further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth Clauses or Sections of an Act of the Legislature of this Province, passed in the fourth year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act to appropriate a certain sum of Money therein-mentioned, towards the support of the Emigrant Hospital established in Quebec," and all and every the matters and things therein respectively mentioned and contained, shall further continue to be and remain in force with respect to the said Hospital, and to the appropriation made by this Act, until the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-six.

III. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the due application of the Monies by this Act appropriated, shall be accounted for to His Majesty, his Heirs and Successors, through the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury for the time being, in such manner and form, as His Majesty, his Heirs and Successors shall be pleased to direct.

AN ACT to appropriate certain Sums of Money towards the support of
Hospitals, and for other charitable purposes therein-mentioned.

THEREAS it is expedient to appropriate certain sums of Money towards the support of the Establishments herein-after mentioned: May it therefore please Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Assembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, constituted and assembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act passed in the Parliament of Great-Britain, intituled, "An Act to repeal certain parts of an Act passed in the fourteenth year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, "An Act for "making

II. II. Et qu'il soit de plus statué par l'autorité susdite, que les sommes strivantes savoir une somme n'excédant point trois cens quarante et une livre, dix-huit chelins et sept deniers et demi courant, pour payer les arrérages dus pour le soutien des personnes dérangées dans leur esprit, Invalides et Infirmes, et des

for the District of Quebec, for the year ending the thirty-first day of October last; a sum not exceeding one hundred and eleven pounds, sixteen shillings and three-pence, currency, to reimburse the Religious Ladies of the General Hospital at Montreal, for the like sum by them disbursed, up to the thirty-first day of July last, over and above the sum appropriated for the maintenance and support of Foundlings and of Insane persons in the District of Montreal; and a sum not exceeding twenty-five pounds, nine shillings and eleven-pence, currency, to reimburse the Religious Ladies of Three Rivers for the like sum by them expended for the relief of several Indigent, Infirm and Destitute Persons in the Town of Three-Rivers, up to the tenth day of October last,-shall be taken from and be charged against the unappropriated Monies which are or have been levied by virtue of any Act or Acts of the Legislature of this Province, and paid into the hands of the Receiver General of this Province' for the time being.

IV. V. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the Commissioners for carrying this Act into effect, shall, in the course of fifteen days after the opening of the ensuing Session of the Legislature, lay before the three Branches thereof, a detailed and full statement or account of the manner in which the sums appropriated by this Act have been laid out and expended.
