exclusively by the said Managers, or such other Members of such Io Institution as may by the Rules Orders and Regulations of such Institution be empowered to decide in every such case; and in no No Appeal to case whatever shall it be competent to bring such decision under the review of any Court of Law whatever, by Appeal, Suspension, Advocation, Reduction or any other form of process; and if such evidence shall be considered by them as sufficient, it shall be lawful, and they are hereby required, upon the expiration of from the death of such Depositor, to pay over to such Representatives the whole of the deposited Fund and Interest due thereon, or such part thereof as such Representatives shall be held to have right to, and that without the necessity of any Inventory being recorded or Confirmation expede in favour of such Representatives, any law or practice to the contrary notwithstanding; declaring that in all cases of difference in opinion among the Managers, or other Members of the Institution empowered as aforesaid to decide on the said evidence, it shall be lawful for them to apply to the Sheriff or Steward of the Shire or Stewartry for advice, by a case in Writing to be made up by themselves, who shall thereupon be bound to give an opinion thereon, by which the Managers or other Members of the Institution empowered to decide as aforesaid shall be regulated, and according to which they shall act, by paying over the Share of the deceased Depositor to such Representatives so preferred, and the receipt or discharge of such Representatives shall be a sufficient discharge or acquittance to such Institution; and no such receipt or discharge shall be subject to or chargeable with any Stamp Duty whatever.

And be it further Enacted, That any Bastard who is a Depositor Illegitimate in the Funds of any Institution taking the benefit of this Act, shall be and hereby is expressly empowered to dispose of and bequeath in II manner before specified, the whole or any part of the Sum or Sums of Money in the said Funds, or any Interest or Dividends due thereon belonging to him or her, any law or practice to the contrary notwithstanding; and if any such Bastard shall die, leaving any Sum or Sums of Money in the said Funds, or any Dividends or Interest due thereon, belonging to him or her at the time of his or her death, and not disposed of as aforesaid, such Sum or Sums of Money, and all Dividends or Interest due thereon, shall, failing his or her lawful descendant or descendants, belong and be payable to the Mother of such Bastard, or, in case of her decease, to the Relatives of such Bastard by the Mother's side, according to the rule of succession pointed out in the foresaid Schedule, and that notwithstanding any law or usage to the contrary; the said Mother or Relatives being always bound to produce evidence of her or their propinquity to the deceased Depositor, to the satisfaction of the Managers or other Members of such Institution empowered to decide thereon as afore

HEREAS by an Act made and passed in the Seventeenth year of the Reign of His present Majesty, intituled, "An Act "for granting to His Majesty certain Duties on Licences to be taken out by all Persons acting as Auctioneers, and certain Rates and Duties on "all Lands, Houses, Goods and other things sold by Auction, and upon "Indentures, Leases, Bonds, Deeds and other Instruments," certain Duties were imposed on all Licences thereby required to be taken out by Auctioneers, and to be paid at Offices of Excise, in manner therein mentioned:

And whereas by an Act made and passed in the Nineteenth year of 19 Geo. III. the reign of His present Majesty, intituled, "An Act for altering, cap. 56. "amending and enforcing so much of an Act made in the Seventeenth

year of the reign of His present Majesty, intituled, 'An Act for "granting to His Majesty certain Duties on Licences to be taken out by "all Persons acting as Auctioneers, and certain Rates and Duties on "all Lands, Houses, Goods and other things sold by Auction, and upon "Indentures, Leases, Bonds, Deeds and other Instruments,' as relates to "the method of granting Licences to Auctioneers, and to the collecting "the Duties on Estates and Goods sold by Auction," the Provisions contained in the said Act of the Seventeenth year of the reign of His present Majesty, for granting Licences to Auctioneers, and for collecting and 2 managing the Duties by the said Act imposed on Licences to be granted to Persons selling by Auction were repealed, and certain other Provisions and Regulations were enacted in lieu thereof; and by the said Act every Auctioneer is required, at the times therein mentioned, before any Sale by way of Auction, to deliver to the Person therein mentioned a Notice in writing signed by such Auctioneer, specifying in such Notice the particular Day when such Sale by Auction is to begin, and also a written
