"Resolved, That the Clerk of the Common Council of the city of New York be, and he is hereby, directed to prepare the MANUAL OF THE CORPORATION of the said city of New York for the year 1866, and cause ten thousand copies to be published under his direction and supervision; and that the sum of three thousand five hundred dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated to compensate him for such labor, and the Comptroller is hereby directed to pay said amount upon the completion of the compilation of the said Manual; three thousand seven hundred and fifty copies for the Board of Aldermen, also three thousand seven hundred and fifty copies for the Board of Councilmen, five hundred for the use of his Honor the Mayor, also two thousand copies for distribution by the Clerk of the Common Council.
