RULES IN RELATION TO THE ADMISSION OF CHILDREN INTO THE NURSERY AND CHILD'S HOSPITAL.

1. Every child presented for admission must be perfectly clean and free from contagious diseases.

2. Every child must be vaccinated, unless it has been done previously.

3. No child will be admitted over six years of age, unless by special permission of First Directress.

4. Infants who cannot walk pay $3 per month; children who can walk pay $7 per month; hospital or sick children pay $9 per month. All illegitimate children boarded here by parents or friends are to pay $10 a month.

5. Every child admitted must be examined by the physician.

6. The parent or guardian must always provide shoes and clothing for the child.

7. Four complete suits and twelve diapers must be left with the child. On removal another suit must be brought, if the child has been more than three months In the Institution.

8. In case of the adoption of a child out of the Nursery and Child's Hospital, the arrangement must be made entirely between the party adopting it and the parents or guardian of the child, the Institution assuming no responsibility in the premises whatever.

9. Board is always to be paid in advance.

The Institute has held thirty-six Annual Fairs.

The Farmer's Club, Polytechnic Association, and Horticultural Association, are branches of the Institute.

Its library contains about 10,000 volumes, and is one of the best scientific libraries in the country.

The requirements for graduation are: Twenty-one years of age, a certificate of study and attendance on two full courses of medical lectures, the last being in this College; a thesis in the handwriting of the candidate, proper testimonials of character, and a satisfactory examination by the Censors in each department of instruction.

Two prizes will be awarded by the faculty for the best dissected preparations.
