And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; 20 my Father, if it be possible, 3if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

'And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people. 3 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should 4 come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith 5 unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, 6 I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then 7 asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that 8 I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: that the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them 9 which thou gavest me have I lost none.

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway and drew near unto Jesus 7to kiss him, and saith, Hail, 'Master, master; and kissed him. 10 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? "Betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 12 Then came they, and laid their hands on Jesus, and took him. 13 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 14And one of them* that stood by 1 with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest, 16 and cut off his right ear. And the servant's name was Malchus. 17And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far.
