SEOT. 2. And be it further enacted by the authority afore

said, That each of the persons who shall be appointed, in Inspectors compliance with the requisition of the foregoing section, bonds. shall, prior to the performance of any of the duties prescribed by this act, execute bonds to the Governor on behalf of the Commonwealth, in the sum of five hundred dollars, with one or more sufficient sureties, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties imposed on them by this act; and if the said inspectors, or either of them, shall make use of a false hydrometer or guaging instrument, knowing them to be such, or in any other manner misbehave, or abuse the power hereby granted to them, the Governor shall cause said bonds to be put in suit, and the said inspectors shall each take and subscribe an oath or affirmation, before some judge or justice of the peace, in the city or county of Lancaster, in the words following, to wit: I, A. B., do swear or affirm, (as the ease may be,) that I will honestly and faithfully guage, inspect, and Their oathe, mark spirituous liquors, of domestic manufacture, to the best of my skill, in the manner directed by the act, entitled "An act providing for the inspection of spirituous liquors." passed the fourteenth day of March, eighteen hundred and fourteen, and the supplement thereto, passed the thirteenth day of March, eighteen hundred and fifteen; and the said inspectors, before they enter on the duties of their office, shall cause a certified copy of such oath or affirmation to be filed in the office of the prothonotary of the court of Common Pleas of the county aforesaid.

SECT. 4. And be it further enacted by the authority afore said, That the vendor of each cask, barrel, or hogshead, of domestic distilled spirits, shall pay twelve and a half cents to the inspector, who shall have gauged, inspected, and marked the same.

AN ACT

Relative to Swine running at large in M'Kean county, and for other purposes.

Proviso.

SECT. 1.
