A SUPPLEMENT

To an act entitled "An act establishing an Academy in the town of
Wellsborough, in the county of Tioga."

SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That from and after the time for which the present board of trustees of the Wellsborough Academy were elected, the number of trustees shall be five, any three of whom shall constitute a quorum.

SECT. 2. And be it further enacted by the authority aforeTheir classi said, That the trustees elected in pursuance hereof, shall, at their first meeting after such election, proceed to classify themselves by lot, so that their time shall expire respectively at the end of one, two, three, four, and five years; and that at the subsequent annual elections, only one trustee, to serve five years, shall be elected, except when a vacancy shall occur, which shall be supplied by an election for the unexpired time of the trustee, whose seat may, by any means, have

To an act passed the twenty-second March, A. D. one thousand eight hundred and seventeen, entitled "An act relative to suits brought by or against corporations."

SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the service of any civil process upon the toll

AN ACT

To authorise the State Society of the Cincinnati of Pennslyvania, to enjoy a larger income.

SEOT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That notwithstanding the proviso contained in the fourth section of the act entitled "An act to confer on certain associations of the citizens of this commonwealth the powers and immunities of corporations, or bodies politic, in law," it shall be lawful for the corporation called and known by the name of "The State Society of the Cincinnati of Pennsylvania," to take, receive, and hold all, and all manner of lands, tenements, rents, annuities, franchises, and hereditaments, and any sum and sums of money, and any manner and portion of goods and chattels, given and bequeathed unto them, to be employed and disposed of according to the objects, articles, and conditions of the instrument upon which the

said corporation is formed and established, or according to the by-laws thereof: Provided, That the clear yearly value or income of the messuages, houses, lands and tenements, rents, annuities, or other hereditaments and real estate of the said corporation, and the interest of money by them lent, shall not exceed the sum of three thousand dollars.

county of Fayette, a soldier of the revolution, or to his order, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three.

SECT. 2. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the State Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and required to pay to Thomas Burk, of the county of York, a soldier of the revolution, or to his order, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three.

SECT. 3. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the State Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized and required to pay to George Cook, of Greene county, a soldier of the revolutionary war, or to his order, forty dollars, as a gratuity, for his revolutionary services, and an an

To change the names of Sebastian Gundt, George Henry Gundt, and
Benjamin Gundt, of the county of Northampton, and John George
Gundt, of the county of Bucks.

SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Sebastian Gundt, George Henry Gundt, and Benjamin Gundt, of the county of Northampton, and John ged from George Gundt, of the county of Bucks, be, and they are Gundt to hereby respectively authorized to change their names from Goundie. Sebastian Gundt, to that of Sebastian Goundie; and from George Henry Gundt, to that of George Henry Goundie; from Benjamin Gundt, to that of Benjamin Goundie; from John George Gundt, to that of John George Goundie ;-and they shall henceforth be called and known by the name of Sebastian Goundie, George Henry Goundie, Benjamin Goundie, and John George Goundie, and by the same names shall be able and capable in law, respectively, to sue, and be sued, grant and receive, and do all other legal acts, as effectually, to all intents and purposes, as they could have done by their former names, if no change had been made therein.

SEOT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the act entitled "An act for the promotion of Certain pro agriculture and domestic manufactures," passed the sixth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and twenty, and the provisions of the second section of a supplement thereto, passed the fourteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven, are hereby re-enacted and extended for the further term of five years from and after the sixth day of March, eighteen hundred and thirty-three, so far as respects the counties of Washington and Greene.
