SECT. S. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That after the docket entries aforesaid shall have been completed and approved of by the said Orphans' court. it shall be the duty of the auditors of the said county of Bradford to examine the account of the said clerk, and allow him such sum for his services in making the entries aforesaid, as shall be just and reasonable, which sum shall be paid on warrants drawn by them on the treasurer of the county aforesaid.

SECT. 4. And be it further enacted by the authority aforeTime of hold. said, That from and after the first day of May next the ing courts in several courts in the fourteenth judicial district shall be held Fayette, as follows, viz: to commence in the county of Fayette on the Greene and first Monday of June, and continue one week, if necessary. SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of

the same, That the State Treasurer be and he is hereby au- $40 grat. and thorized and required to pay to John Lehman, of Dauphin ana. granted county, to John Kitts of Delaware county, and Matthias Ritz, to J. Lehman, J. Kitts, M. of York county, soldiers, and Christiana Wilhelm, of York Ritz, and C. county, widow of a soldier of the revolutionary war, or to Wilhelm. their respective orders, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars. payable half yearly during life, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three.

And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the State Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and required to pay to Paul Bishop, of Philadelphia county, a soldier of the revolution, or to his order, the sum of forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly during life, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and thirtythree.

SECT. 5. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the State Treasurer be and he is hereby authorHaffernan &ized and required to pay to Catharine Haffernan, of Crawford county, and Elizabeth Beard, of Wayne county, in the state of New York, widows of soldiers of the revolutionary war, or to their respective orders, the sum of forty dollars each immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars each, payable semi-annually during life, to commence on the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three.

And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the State Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay unto Sarah Cross, of Philadelphia county, the widow of a revolutionary soldier, or to her order, the sum of forty dollars in full of her claim as the widow of a revolutionary soldier. A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT

To the act entitled An act supplementary to the act to incorporate and endow the Pennsylvania Institution for the deaf and dumb.

April, 1833.

SECT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the sume, That the first supplement to the act entitled "An act Act of 1821, to incorporate and endow the Pennsylvania Institution for coxtinued in force 5 years the deaf and dumb," passed the eighth day of February, one from 1st thousand eight hundred and twenty one, be and is hereby continued in force for the further term of five years, from and after the first day of April next, any thing in the fifth section of the said act of the eighth of February, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-one to the contrary notwithstanding: Provided however, That the time limited in the Proviso. proviso of the said supplement shall be and the same is hereby increased to five years, and this extension of time shall operate as well in favor of the indigent pupils now in the institution as of those who may hereafter be received into it.

SECT. 2. A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT

To the act to amend and consolidate with its supplements an act entitled An act for the recovery of debts and demands not exceeding one hundred dollars, before a justice of the peace, and for the election of constables, and for other purposes.

SEOT. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represen tatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That it shall be the duty of every justice of the peace or alderman, in case of his resignation or removal from of fice, or removal from his proper district or county, and of his legal representatives, in case of the death or absconding, or voluntary or compulsory absence of a justice of the peace or alderman, from his proper place of abode, to deliver his docket, together with all the notes, bonds and other papers in his or their possession, concerning any judgment or suit entered thereon, to some neighboring justice or alderman of the district: Provided, That if any justice or alderman having resigned or been removed, or the legal representaIn cases of tives of a deceased justice or alderman, shall choose to retain the said docket, he or they shall on demand, deliver a certi. fied transcript of any judgment or proceedings in any suit therein, on oath or affirmation, to the party or parties interested, under the penalty of one hundred dollars, to be recovered by the party aggrieved in the same manner as debts of that amount are by law recoverable, and the justice of the peace or alderman to whom said docket or transcript shall be delivered, shall issue process and proceed thereon in the same manner and with like effect as the original justice or 2d proviso. alderman might have done: Provided, That in case the jus tice or alderman to whom such docket may be delivered, shall be a party to or interested in any suit or judgment therein, such suit or judgment shall be proceeded in by some other justice of the peace or alderman of the proper county, to whom a transcript shall be furnished, as well as the ori ginal docket, if required on the trial: And provided further, That in case any justice of the peace or alderman shall abscond, or depart from the district without delivering his docket and papers to some justice of the peace or alderman acond with as aforesaid, it shall be the duty of the person in whose out delivery possession the same may be left or found, to make a delivery of decket, &c, thereof as aforesaid, under the penalty of one hundred dollars, to be recovered by any person aggrieved in manner aforesaid, and in case the said docket and papers shall not
