sufficient. Nor is it intended to require a very close study of the statutes. A general acquaintance with the provisions upon the topics indicated will be sufficient. Each of the divisions in the foregoing course of study, numbered from I to IX, inclusive, shall be deemed a branch within the meaning of Section 5 of the Act before mentioned. Since some general education is necessary to a practice of law, it shall be the duty of the Board of Examiners to reject any applicant who, in their opinion, may show himself so deficient in that respect as not to be capable of performing the duties of an attor ney. It is further ordered that in addition to the certificate of the Commissioner's Court, as to the moral character and honorable deportment of the applicant, the Board of Examiners shall require him to present also a certificate, of the like effect, from two reputable practicing attorneys, who have known him for the preceding six months. In case the Board for any reason shall not be satisfied as to the moral character of the applicant, by the proof required by the statute and the rule, they may resort to such other evidence or source of information as they may deem proper.
