Griffith Miles (ca. 1670-1719), a Quaker, and two brothers, Richard and Samnuel, immigrated in 1681/1682 from Wales to Chester County, Penn- sylvania. Griffith married Bridget Edwards in 1692, and in 1697 they became Baptists. Griffith Miles IV (1800-1894) lived and died in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and his heirs were confronted with a forged will which was eventually so declared by a jury. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
