OMPLAINS and fhews A. B. of, &c. That C. D. is a pauper or poor perfon, and hath for a long time paft been and is now in indigent circumstances, unable to provide for himfelf; and that the faid A. B. hath, within fix months laft paft, viz. ever fince the

day of provided for, fupported and maintained the faid C. D. with fuitable clothing, food, washing and lodging, and administered to his relief and comfort at his own proper charge and expense to the amount of according to the account hereunto annexed. And the faid A. B. further complains and fhews, that E. F. G. H. &c. are by confanguinity kindred of the faid C. D. in the line or degree of (father or grandfather, mother or grandmother, children or grandchildren, as the cafe may be) that they live within this Commonwealth, and are of fufficient ability to fupport the faid pauper, and are therefore by law, holden and bound fo to do, in proportion to fuch their ability. Yet they have not in any manner relieved, fupported or maintained the faid pauper, although thereunto requested by your complainant. Wherefore he prays this court to affefs and apportion the faid fum of or fuch part thereof as your Honours fhall judge reasonable, upon the faid E. F. and G. H. or either of them, according to their feveral abilities, together with the coft of this procefs.. And also that fuch other weekly fums may be affeffed and apportioned upon the faid E. F. and G. H. or either of them, as your Honours fhall judge to be

fufficient for the fupport of faid pauper, and further order with whom of his faid kindred, that may defire it, he fhali live and be relieved, And as in duty bound, will pray.

Application to the Court of Seffions, of a Perfon who confiders himself injured by the laying out, altering or difcontinuing of any Town or Private Way.

To the Honourable Justices of the Court of General Seffions of the Peace for the county of C. begun and holden at P. in faid county on the Tuesday of A. D. 18

B. of F. in faid county, humbly fhews, that the Selectmen of the faid town of F. have laid out a town or private way through the land of your petitioner, which has been approved and allowed by the faid town at a publick meeting of the inhabitants thereof, the courses whereof are as follows, viz. [Here infert the courses, from the return of the way, a copy whereof should be exhibited to the court.] Or,

[That the faid town of F. have altered (or discontinued, as the cafe may be a town or private way running from which being previously laid out by the Selectmen, was approved and allowed by the town at a publick meeting of the inhabitants thereof, on A. D. 18 and has ever fince been improved as fuch] whereby your petitioner thinks himfelf greatly injured, and faith that he hath fuftained damages thereby to the amount of all which he is ready to make appear.

He therefore applies for remedy to this Honourable Court, and prays that your Honours will inquire into, and determine the matter by a jury thereunto appointed, and thereupon affefs damages for him, to be paid by the faid town of F. according to a law of the Commonwealth in fuch cafes made and provided. To the Honourable Juftices of the Court of General Seffions of the Peace for the county of C. begun and holden at P. in faid county on the Tuesday of A. D. 18 A. B. an inhabitant of (or a proprietor of land in, as the cafe may be) the town of F. in faid county, Humbly fhews,

HAT a private way from in faid town is much wanted for the use of the inhabitants thereof, (or, for the ufe of as the cafe may be) and that although application hath been made to the Selectmen of faid town, to lay out the fame, they have unreasonably delayed, and still do unreasonably delay and refuse to do. He therefore requests that your Honours would cause the fame to be laid out by a committee of three difinterested freeholders, agreeably to a law of the Commonwealth in fuch cafe made and provided. reasonably delayed and refused to approve and allow of the fame; by which refusal and delay, your petitioner confiders himfelf aggrieved.

He therefore prays that your Honours would, agreeably to a law of the Commonwealth in fuch cafes made and provided, accept and approve of the faid private way, laid out as aforefaid, and direct the fame to be recorded in the town book of F. or order the faid way to be laid out by a committee of three difinterested freeholders to be appointed by your Honours for that purpose; as your Honours in your wisdom hall fee fit. That the affeffors of the faid town of (viz. W. S. P. W. and H. M.) in their lift of affeffment, committed to G. W. collector of the faid town, have apportioned upon your complainant the fum of which (if it be fo, add) he has been obliged to pay to the faid collector, at which he confiders himself aggrieved, and although he has made application to the said affeffors (or the affeffors for the time being, as the cafe may be they refufe to make him any abatement; therefore he applies to this Honourable Court for relief, and prays that your Honours, agreeably to a law of this Commonwealth in fuch cafes provided, would order him a reimbursement out of the treasury of the faid town, of fuch fum as your Honours fhall fee caufe to abate him, with the charges of this procefs. And, as in daty bound, will pray. A.B.
