Indeed it cannot be supposed that the most knowing in the scriptures should be able to make use of such a catechism as this, in the instruction of his children, without some previous preparation; so that no person need to be ashamed, if it appear that he himself has something to learn in this business, as well as his child. But I hope that few of those who will make any inquiry after this catechism, will object to it, because it is calculated to give themselves, as well as their children, a more perfect knowledge of important facts and truths.
