AN ACT to set off part of the town of Baldwin, and annex the same to the town of Hiram.

SECT. 1. BE it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, That all the lands within the town of Baldwin, in the county of Cumberland, which lie to the southwest of Hancock Brook and Pond, with the inhabitants thereon, be, and the same are hereby set off from said town, and are annexed to the town of Hiram, in the county of Oxford: Provided however, That the inhabitants on the aforesaid lands, and their estates, shall be holden to pay all taxes assessed on them prior to this act.

AN ACT to establish the boundaries of the town of Surry, as they existed previous to the third day of March, one thousand eight hundred and

BE it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, That, that part of the town of taken from Sur- Ellsworth, which by An Act of the General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, passed on the third day of March, one thousand eight hundred and nine, was set off from the town of Surry and annexed to the said town of Ellsworth, be, and hereby is set back and annexed to the said town of Surry. And the inhabitants of the part thus annexed to the said town of Surry, shall hereafter be considered inhabitants of said town and shall there exercise and enjoy all civil rights and privileges, and be subject to all civil duties and requisitions in like manner as the other inhabitants of said town: Inhabitants to Provided however, That said inhabitants of the part of the debts due, and town of Ellsworth, thus annexed to the town of Surry, shall be prior to the pass- respectively holden to pay their due proportions of all debts ng of the act. due from, and of all monies granted prior to the passing of this act, by said town of Ellsworth.

AN ADDITIONAL ACT respecting the Episcopal Church in the
Town of Portland.

BE it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Legislature assembled, That it shall and may be lawful for the Wardens and Vestry of the Episcopal Wardens autho Church in the town of Portland, with the consent of the minister of said church for the time being, to apply all or any part of the monies which have arisen from the sale of a lot of land laid out and granted by the proprietors of the town of Falmouth, for the benefit of the minister of said church, to the building of a Vestry-room on the vacant ground belonging to the same: Provided, however, that the rents and income of such vestry-room shall always be applied to the support of the ministry in said society agreeably to the intent of the grantors of said lot of land.

SECT. 1. SECT. 2. SECT. 3.
