AN ACT to incorporate the Brewer Meeting-House Corporation.

SECT. 1. BE it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in Legislature assembled, That John Farrington, John Farrington, junior, Jacob Hart, junior, Deodat Brastow, Daniel Farrington, John Gilmore, their associates and assigns, be, and they hereby are incorporated into a body politic, by the name of the Brewer Meeting-House Corporation, for the purpose of building a meeting-house Powers and in said town of Brewer; with all the powers and

Be it further enacted, That a toll be, and hereby is granted for the sole benefit of said corporation, according to the following rates, viz. for each foot passenger, two cents; one person and horse, six cents; single horse cart, sled or sleigh, ten cents; each team, including cart, waggon, sled or ed sleigh, drawn by two beasts, twelve and a half cents ; and for every additional beast above two, two cents; each single horse and chaise, chair or sulkey, sixteen cents; each coach, chariot, phaeton or curricle, drawn by two horses, thirty five cents; and for every additional beast, two cents; neat cattle, horses, mules or asses, exclusive of those ridden or in carriages, two cents each; sheep and swine half a cent each; and to each team one person only shall be

allowed as a driver, to pass free of toll; and all persons, who shall actually be on military duty, shall be permitted, with their baggage, to pass said bridge free of toll; and at all times, when the toll gatherer shall not attend his duty at said bridge, the gate or Gates to be left gates shall be left open; and the toll shall commence toll gatherer on the day of the first opening of said bridge for pastend his duty.
