CHAPTER 37. Schedule A amended. An Act to Amend the Bulk Sales Act, Chapter 5, (Passed the 23rd day of April, A. D., 1923). Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows: 1. Schedule "A" of said Chapter 5 is amended by striking out the words “for amounts exceeding the sum of fifty dollars" and the words "for amounts exceeding fifty dollars," wherever said words occur in the said Schedule. CHAPTER 38. An Act to Amend Chapter 4, Acts of 1914, entitled, “An Act to Encourage the Incorporation of Farmers' Co-operative Societies." (Passed the 17th day of April, A. D., 1923). Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and As sembly, as follows: Sub-section 1, 1. Sub-section 1 of Section 2 of Chapter 4 of the Section 2, amended. Acts of 1914 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following words— Including threshing outfits and to own, manage and operate such outfits. CHAPTER 39. An Act to Amend the Workmen's Compensation Act. (Passed the 6th day of April, A. D., 1923). Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows:-- Chap. 1,,1915, 1. Section 22 of Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1915, Section 22, "The Workmen's Compensation Act," is amended by amended. striking out the words "Provincial revenue" in the last line and substituting therefor the words "Accident Fund." This amendment shall take effect retroactively from January 1st, 1923. CHAPTER 40. An Act to Amend Chapter 9, Acts of 1915, as amend- (Passed the 23rd day of April, A. D., 1923). · Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows: amended. 1. The said Act is amended by adding to Section 5 Section 5, thereof the following: All enactments and laws insofar as they relate to any of the said matters, except the construction of theatres erected after the enactment of this section, and except this Act, and regulations made under the authority thereof, are repealed. 2. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Incorporated Theatres Cinematographs and Amusements Act as Towns may amended by this Act or anything in the Towns' make, etc., by Incorporation Act, the incorporated Towns may and licensing from time to time make, amend or repeal by-laws regulating and licensing circuses. CHAPTER 41. Sub-section added to Section 11. Temporary loans. An Act to Amend the Public Highways Act, Chapter 3, Acts of 1917, as Amended. (Passed the 23rd day of April, A. D., 1923). Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows: 1. Section 11 of the Public Highways Act, Chapter 3 of the Acts of 1917, as amended, is amended by adding thereto the following sub-section:— (5) The Council of any city or of any town is authorized to borrow annually by way of temporary loan the whole or any part of the amount required to be raised by such city or town for payment to the Provincial Treasurer as aforesaid. Every such loan shall be repaid on or before the thirty-first day of December of the year in which the same is borrowed, provided, however, that in respect of the City of Halifax such loan shall be repaid along with and in the same manner as moneys borrowed by that City in advance of collection of taxes under the authority of Section 346 of the Halifax City Charter.
