The Honorable Mr. Panet presented to the House a Bill intituled, "An Act to make "better provision for the management of the property of Minors, Absentees, Interdicted "Persons, or others, who are incapable of managing their own property, in Lower Canada," The said Bill was read for the first time.

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a second time on Tuesday next.

Then, on motion of the Honorable Mr. Quesnel, seconded by the Honorable Mr. McDonald,

Pursuant to the Order of the Day the Bill intituled, "An Act relating to the Sinking "Fund for the redemption of the Imperial Guaranteed Loan," was read a third time. The question was put, whether this Bill shall pass?

Pursuant to the Order of the Day, the Bill intituled, "An Act to prevent the unlicensed "Sale of Intoxicating Liquors in the Unorganized Tracts in this Province," was read a third time.

To these Bills, the Royal Assent was severally pronounced by the Clerk of this House, in the words following:

The Legislative Assembly having withdrawn, His Excellency was pleased to retire.

Of the Executive Council of the Board of Trustees of Queen's College, Kingston; pray. ing against the endowment of any one Educational Institution, to the exclusion of all others.

Of the Board of Notaries of the District of Quebec; praying against the passing of the Bill to prevent abuses in the execution of Mortgage Deeds.

Of the Corporation of the Village of Southampton, in the County of Bruce; praying that the selection of the County Town of the said County, established by the Act 22 Victoria, chapter 111, may not be changed.

Of C. Leggo, junior, and others, of the Village of Merrickville; praying for the passing of an Act to incorporate the said Village.

The Honorable Mr. Allan from the Select Committee to whom was referred the Bill intituled "An Act to amend chapter fifty-eight of the Consolidated Statutes of Canada, "as regards the investment of money by Insurance Companies," reported that they had gone through the said Bill and had directed him to report the same with several amend, ments which he was ready to submit whenever the House would be pleased to receive them.
