STATEMENT OF INJURIES TO LIFE AND LIMB DURING THE YEAR.

He was ascending ladder on end of car, and slack of train caught his left arm in a horizontal position between the car he was on and the one next to it, and broke his left arm, and dislocated elbow joint. Attempted to uncouple engine from tender with his hand, in violation of rules.

Drunk and asleep under some cars in yard, and in shifting them about he was run over.

While applying brakes on C. C. & A. car 7136, wheel became detached from shaft, causing him to fall to the ground, striking a pile of old rail.

Caught between cars while attempting to steal a ride.

Attempted to couple cars without coupling stick, in violation of rules.

Car being wet, he slipped off and fell to the ground.

Unknown. Supposed that he was struck by some
train while walking on the track in an intoxicated
condition.

Stepped on track immediately in front of the moving

train.

Lying asleep on track and struck by some train. Unknown.

Fell from top of car to the ground.

He was on front of engine greasing valves, when his
foot slipped and he fell to the ground.

He was engaged in loading scrap rail. In throwing a
bar on the flat car, it struck a standard on the oppo-
site side, rebounded and struck him on the head.
Riding on flat car; lost his balance and fell to the
ground.

While working behind another section hand, he was
struck in the left eye by point of pick.

Ran off end of one car in attempting to jump to another car, and fell to the ground.

Attempted to descend ladder of a moving car, when
he fell to the track and was run over.
Wheel of section car broke, causing to fall from the
car to the track-the wheels passing over his head.
Left great toe broken. He was assisting to take out the rail from the old
hoist at Belle Isle, when a bar of rail fell on his foot.

Lying on track drunk, and struck by train.

Drunk, and sitting on end of cross-tie. Struck by
steps of express car.

He ran from some bushes and jumped upon the track
just in front of the engine, and was struck and
thrown from the track.
