The basic data were obtained in a questionnaire prepared by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and the Manpower Administration (MA) in cooperation with the Bureau of the Census . The Bureau of the Census collected the information as a supplement to its Current Population Survey , and tabulated the data according to specifications prepared by BLS and MA. |

Halaman 59 - SMSA is a county or group of contiguous counties which contains at least one city of 50,000 inhabitants or more, or "twin cities" with a combined population of at least 50,000. Halaman 59 - Reliability of the estimates. Since the estimates are based on a sample, they may differ somewhat from the figures that would have been obtained if a complete census had been taken using the same schedules, instructions, and enumerators.
