The Indiana State Medical Society assembled in College Hall, and was called to order by Vice President John Moffitt, M. D. The President appointed Drs. J. H. Brower, W. R. Winton, J. F. Hibberd, H. G. Sexton, and J. W. Williamson, a Committee on Admission. REPORT OF OFFICERS. The Executive Committee made the following Report, which was adopted, to-wit: INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 17, 1864. The Executive Committee hereby report that the Indianapolis Medical Association have provided the room now occupied for its meeting. The Committee has corresponded with the Superintendents of all the railroads connecting with Indianapolis, in reference to returning members without charge. The I. and C. road, the M. and I., and the Indiana Central, consent. Others did not reply, or refused. Certificates will be furnished members at the Secretary's table. 4 The Committee report the following as the ORDER OF BUSINESS. 1st-Report of Officers. 2d-Reports of Standing Committees. 3d-Reports of Special Committees. Tuesday evening at 71% o'clock, address of the President. Wednesday evening, entertainment by the Indianapolis Medical Association. T. PARVIN, Chairman. Dr. Gaston, the Corresponding Secretary, reported correspondence from the President elect last year, Dr. Sloan, and Vice President, Dr. Preston, in which they, for causes stated in the correspondence, declined filling the Chair of presiding officer of the Society; also correspondence with Vice President Dr. Moffitt, accepting said post. Dr. Fletcher, the Secretary, made a verbal report, which was accepted. Dr. Woodburn, the Treasurer, submitted the following Report, which was accepted and referred to the Committee on Publication, to-wit: By amount paid Indiana Journal Company.
