TABLE III A.-REPORT OF IMMIGRANTS REFUSED ADMISSION, FROM FOREIGN CONTIGUOUS TERRITORY, TO THE UNITED STATES, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE ALIEN CONTRACT LABOR LAWS AND THE LAWS REGULATING IMMIGRATION, FOR THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1903. It should be explained, however, that these rejected aliens were not of the arrivals reported in Table I, given in this report, but were a portion of the unnumbered aliens crossing into the United States from foreign contiguous territory. From Tables IV and V, subjoined, information may be obtained, respectively, of the comparative arrivals, by sex and for each month of the fiscal year, during 1902 and 1903 and of the countries whence the steerage aliens came, as well as the races to which they belong. |
