CHAPTER 293.

AN ACT to provide for indexing and transcribing the Journals of the Sen-
ate and Assembly.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in
Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

CHAPTER 294.

AN ACT to provide for the payment of the chaplains to the Legislature for
the year 1860.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in
Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any to pay clergy- money in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated, a sum sufficient to pay each clergyman officiating as chaplain at the present session of the Legislature, for such service twenty-five dollars: and Matilda Peck, widow of the late Alfred Peck, is hereby authorized to receive the said sum, to which her said husband would have been entitled.

§ 2. The Chief Clerk of the Senate and Assembly shall deliver to each of said clergymen a certificate of such service; and such certificate shall be sufficient authority for the payment of such amount by the State Treasurer.

§ 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 296.

AN ACT to appropriate to the Institute for the education of the Deaf and
Dumb, and the Institute for the education of the Blind of the State
of Wisconsin, certain sums of money therein named.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in
Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any money in the State Treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to the Wisconsin Institute for the education of the deaf and dumb, the sum of eleven thousand dollars, payable in equal quarterly instalments, for the current expenses for the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty; and the sum of one hundred dollars for expense of clothing for indigent pupils, and six thousand five hundred and fifty dollars, for payment of debt on main building, and three hundred and fifty dollars for pay

AN ACT to authorize the Secretary of State to audit certain accounts for
newspapers.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in
Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of four thousand dollars for the purchase
of stationary [stationery] for the use of State officers and the next
Legislature.

The People of the State of Wisconsin, represented in
Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The sum of four thousand dollars, out of Appropriation any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, for stationery. is hereby appropriated for the purchase of stationary [stationery] for the use of State officers and the Legislature for the ensuing year. The said sum of four thousand dollars, may be drawn from the treasury by the person who shall be appointed by the Governor to purchase said stationary [stationery] after the said person shall have given bonds as required by chapter twenty-seven (27), section seven (7), of the Revised Statutes.

§ 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
