In conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, entitled “ An Act for the encouragement of Learning, by securing the cipies of Maps, Charts, and Books to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the time therein mentioned. And also to an Act, entitled, “An Act, supplementary to an Act, entitled an Act for the encouragement of Learning, by securing the oopics of Maps, Charts, and Boks to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mention d, and extending the benefits the reof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."

At the request of D. T. BLAKE, one of the Masters in Chancery for the State of New-York, having lately examined a book, entitled, “ A Treatise on the Prac tice of the Court of Chancery for the paste of NewYork,” we have no hesitation in saying, that as a book of Practice, it will be found of great utility not only in this, but in every other State in the Union which has Chancery jurisdiction.
