BALTIMORE, February 8th, 1869. Messrs. Coleman & Rogers :
Dear Rogers- I owe you many thanks for calling my attention to the IRISIN. When, at your instance, I was induced to try it, my condition was such as to excite very great anxiety as to the ultimate result of my case. For six or eight weeks I had been suffering from Hepatic Obstruction, (the result of long residence in a malarious district,) attended with violent spasms in the region of the gall ducts, recurring almost daily, and obstinately resisting all the remedies with which my professional experience had rendered me familiar. My strength was gradually declining, and I was steadily emaciating, having lost twenty pounds in weight during the progress of my sickness; in addition to this I was decidedly jaundiced.
Under these circumstances I commenced the use of the Irisin. Its action was prompt and delightful. I had no recurrence of pain after the first dose, the secretions were all speedily restored to a healthy condition, my jaundice removed, and a decidedly comfortable degree of health obtained; in two weeks I have regained ten pounds of my lost weight, and have, I think, a fair prospect of regaining the whole of it, as I am steadily
improving. On the whole, I regard the Irisin as the most valuable alterative that I have ever used, and the accomplished author of the formula as justly entitled to the thanks of the community for placing within their reach an agent of such indubitable value. Very respectfully, &c.,
R.' MACKALL, M. D.
