In the preparation of this little work, the compiler has had but one object in view, viz: 10 furnish the farmers, merchants and mechanics of Ontario, with a few general observations on the law as it affects some of the common and ordinary transactions of their every day business; together with some forms of legal documents for use in simple cases where it may be inconvenient or impracticable to obtain the services of a professional man. With this purpose only it is submitted to the public.
