or, A brief and faithful relation of the exceeding mercy of

God in Christ to his poor servant John Bunyan; namely in

taking him out of the dunghill, and converting him to the

faith of his blessed Son, Jesus Christ.

Here is also particularly showed, what sight of, and what

trouble he had for sin; and also what various temptations he

met with; and how God hath carried him through them.

Corrected and much enlarged by the author, for the benefit

of the tempted and dejected Christian.

To which is added, Bunyan's relation of his imprisonment;

a discourse between his wife and the judges, touching his de-
liverance at the assizes; his reflections on his imprisonment;
the continuation of his life, and manner of his death and
burial; with his true character, by one of his personal friends;
and his dying sayings.
