Be it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly, as follows: SHORT TITLE. 1. This Act may be cited as "The Nova Scotia Factories Act." INTERPRETATION. Interpretation. 2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions shall be construed in the manner in the section mentioned: (1) "Factory" means (a) Any premises, building, workshop, structure, room or place wherein, or within the precincts of which, steam, water or other mechanical power is used to move or work any machinery employed in preparing, manufacturing or finishing, or in any process incidental to the preparing, manufacturing or finishing of any article, substance, material, fabric or compound, or is used to aid the manufacturing process carried on there. 1 (b) Any other building, workshop, structure, room or |
