Listening for Small Sounds

Sampul Depan
Allen & Unwin, 1996 - 157 halaman
Despite violence, a married couple remains true to the vow, for better or for worse. The events are seen through the eyes of Joss, 9, whose alcoholic father repeatedly abuses her placid mother, even if he sometimes apologizes. Joss does not understand why her mother puts up with it. One day she will and be glad for it. A first novel by an Australian writer.
