say to thee, When thou wast younger thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst where thou wouldest; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hand, and another shall gird thee, and will carry thee where thou willest not. 19Now this he said signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he saith to him, Follow me. 20 Peter, having turned, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also reclined on his breast at supper, and saith to him, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee? 21Then Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what of this man ? 22 Jesus saith to him, If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. 23 Then went forth this saying among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: but Jesus said not to him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he remain till I come. 24This is the disciple who testifieth concerning these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

4And, being assembled with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father which saith he ye heard from me.

For John indeed baptized with water: but ye will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days hence. 6They therefore came and asked him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? 7 He said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses of me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria. and to the uttermost part of the earth.
