AN ACT to authorise the Construction of A.D. 1895. Tramway from from Zeehan to North-East [20 September, 1895.]

E it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1 This Act may be cited for all purposes as "The Zeehan North- Short title. East Dundas Tramway Construction Act, 1895."

2 In this Act, unless the context otherwise determines

"The Minister" means the Minister of Lands and Works for
the time being, and includes any Contractor or other
person appointed or employed by him:

"The Tramway" includes all works, buildings, stations, and
erections erected or built on or connected with the Tram-
way to be constructed under this Act, the land upon which
the same is or may be respectively erected or built, all
land used in connection therewith, and all plant, rolling-
stock, steam engines, machinery, and carriages used with
the same:

The purposes of this Act" means the execution of all works
necessary to construct, uphold, and maintain the Tramway
to be constructed under this Act.

Provisions of 49 Vict. No. 41 incorporated.

Tramway subject to provisions of 55 Vict. No. 40.

Zeehan North-East Dundas Tramway.

3 It shall be lawful for the Minister to cause to be constructed and completed a Tramway from Zeehan to North-East Dundas.

4 The expenditure for the construction and completion of the said Line of Tramway shall not exceed the sum of Twenty-four thousand Pounds, and the whole of the moneys to be expended under and for the purposes of this Act shall be defrayed out of the unexpended balances of the moneys provided by Parliament for the several Works mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and it shall be lawful for the Treasurer to appropriate such balances accordingly.

5 The length of the Tramway shall be Sixteen miles or thereabouts, and shall have a gauge of Two feet, with curves of a radius of not less than Two chains, and rails of not less than Forty pounds to the yard.

6 All the provisions contained in Sections Five to Thirty-three, both inclusive, of "The Railway Construction Act, 1885," are hereby incorporated with this Act, and where in any of the said incorporated Sections the said Act is referred to it shall be deemed to mean this Act.

7 The Tramway authorised to be constructed by this Act shall be deemed to be a "Railway" within the provisions of "The Railway Management Act, 1891," and shall be subject to all the provisions thereof.

AN ACT to provide for the Execution of A.D. 1895.
certain Public Works. [20 September, 1895.]

E it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and
with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of
Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:-

1 In this Act, unless the context otherwise determines

"The Minister" means the Minister of Lands, and Works for
the time being, and includes any person appointed by him
or acting under his orders.

Interpretation.

2 It shall be lawful for the Minister to cause to be constructed, Minister to cause improved, executed, or completed, the Works mentioned in the Schedule Works to be (1.), at a cost for each separate Work not exceeding the amounts constructed. set forth in the said Schedule (1.) respectively.

3 The cost of the several Works specified in the Schedule (1.) shall Appropriation fo be defrayed out of the unexpended balances of the moneys provided by Work in Schedule Parliament for the several Works mentioned in the Schedule (2.), and (1.)

it shall be lawful for the Treasurer to appropriate the same accordingly.

4 The words "and no charge to be made for land" in Item 10 of Repeal of certain Schedule (1.) to "An Act to provide for the Execution of certain words in Public Works" are hereby repealed, and such Schedule shall be read Schedule (1.), as if such words had not been inserted therein.
