Having in the publication of the former volume. enjoyed a patronage unprecedented in works of this character, the undersigned sincerely hopes that all who purchased the volume. will subscribe for copies of the Supplement, and induce their relatives of the name who have not hitherto had copies of the book, to take this opportunity to secure the volume, enlarged by the addition of a Supplement, for which (in such cases) nothing extra is asked, the whole being sold for the same price charged four years ago for the single cloth-bound copy of the volume.
