THE general accuracy and exactness of the works published from this long-established house, has been fully appreciated by the learned and intelligent of all parts of the world; and it is with pleasure that the publisher can refer to this fact, in soliciting a continuance of the public favor. It has ever been his care to procure the earliest and most reliable information, on all topics connected with the peculiar branch in which he is engaged, and being assisted in the several departments of his business by competent co-laborators, he has been enabled to invest his publications with that authenticity which has gained for him the confidence and approbation of all persons interested in geographical inquiries.
