AN ACT

To vacate a part of a territorial road.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin :

SECTION 1. That so much of a territorial road leading from Whitewater to Madison, as is situated between Koskonong creek, and the west half of section twenty, in township number six, north of range number twelve east, in the county of Dane, be and the same is hereby vacated, and hereafter shall not be used as a public highway.

AN ACT

To divorce Samuel Hall from his wife Sarah Hall.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:

SECTION 1. That the marriage contract between Samuel Hall and his wife Sarah Hall is hereby dissolved, and the

parties to the said

contract are by virtue of this act restored

to all the rights and privileges of unmarried persons.

To legalize a highway in the town of Bristol.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:

SECTION 1. That the highway heretofore laid out in the town of Bristol, in the county of Racine, under the direction

of viewers appointed by the board of county commissioners of said county, commencing on the town line road, near the house of Luman Marsh, of Paris, and running southerly, crossing the Geneva road, near the house of S. S. Fowler, and Simon Lovett, to the O'Plain river, as surveyed by Alfred W. Doolittle, be, and the same is hereby declared to be a legal and valid highway.

AN ACT

To authorize school district No. 2, in Platteville school town, in Grant county, to apply school funds, and levy additional tax to build a school house.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:

SECTION 1. The trustees of school district number two, in Number of scholars to be. That a tax not to exceed two per cent. may be levied to build assessed upon all the taxable property in said district, including improvements upon real estate, and collected in the same manner and at the same time that county taxes are assessed and collected; which taxes shall be paid by the county treasurer to said trustees, on or before the second Monday in January next, and be by said trustees expended in the erection and completion of said district school house: Provided, that a majority of the tax payers, inhabitants of said school dis-" trict, who shall vote, at a district school meeting to be held for that purpose, at the usual place of holding district school meetings in said district, shall vote for such tax to be raised.

Canvass of votes.

SEC. 3. The trustees of said school district shall receive and canvass, and make return to the clerk of the board of county commissioners of all the votes cast at such election, who shall lay the same before the board of county commissioners for the purposes contemplated in this act.

AN ACT

To amend an act entitled "An act to organize school district No. 1, in Fond du Lac, for special purposes."

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wisconsin:

SECTION 1. That from and after the passage of this act, Annual meet. school district number one, in the town of Fond du Lac, shalling where be known by the name of the Franklin school district, and the annual meetings of said district shall be held at the school house in said district on the first Monday of April in each year.

SEC. 2. For the purpose of levying taxes in said district, Assessment the clerk thereof shall annually, in the month of June, upon out. the completion of the same by the assessors, procure from the assessors of the town of Fond du Lac, a copy of the assessment roll of all property liable to taxation in said district, to be certified as a true copy of the same by one or more of said assessors, and file the same in his office, and which copy, so certified, shall be the assessment roll for said district, for the year in which the same shall be made: Provided, that the trustees of said district shall have the same power, and be subject to the same restrictions and regulations for correcting errors and omissions in the same, as are prescribed to town supervisors in relation to town assessments, in section fifteen of "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to provide for the government of the several towns of this territory, and for the revision of county government,'" approved April 15,
