CHAPTER 113.

Appropriation of $10,000.00.

Expending appropriation.

AN ACT to appropriate money for the erection of new buildings and fixtures for the Home for the Friendless.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to pay for the erection of a new wing or building for the use of the inmates of the home for the friendless, and for repairs, heating purposes and fixtures.

SEC. 2. The appropriation made by this act shall be in full for the two years ending March 31, 1887, and shall be expended under the direction of the board of public lands and buildings, and on vouchers to be approved by them. Approved February 20th, A. D., 1885.

CHAPTER 114.

AN ACT making further provision for the payment for the erection of the new Capitol now in process of construction.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Nebraska.

SECTION. 1. There is hereby levied for the One-half mi year 1885 and 1886 a tax of one-half () mill on the dollar upon the assessed valuation of all property in this state for said years and all amounts raised by the collection of said tax are hereby appropriated for the purpose of paying the indebtedness accrued, and that shall accrue, under the provisions of an act approved February 27, 1883, entitled:

"An act to provide for the taking down and removal of the material entering into the construction of the old capitol building, and to provide for the erection of the main building of the new capitol of the state of Nebraska, and to levy a tax of one-half (1) mill on the dollar, and to appropriate the moneys arising from said levy, to pay for said new capitol building." SEC. 2. All moneys collected from said levy, Warrants, how as well as all moneys hereafter collected from the levy made by said act, shall be constituted a special appropriation of the general funds of the state, and warrants drawn for the payment of indebtedness incurred, and that shall be incurred, under said act, shall be presented for payment and paid in the same manner and

paid.

with like effect as other warrants drawn on said general fund;

Provided, however, That no such warrants shall be paid "out of any other fund except that created by the. one-half () mill hereby levied, and that none of said warrants shall draw interest, but they shall be paid as fast as money so raised shall be collected and in the hands of the state treasurer.

AN ACT to defray the expenses of the Nebraska state col-
lective exhibit at the "World's Industrial and Cotton Cen-
tennial Exposition," New Orleans, La., December 16, 1884,
to May 31, 1885.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of
Nebraska:

SECTION 1. That there be, and is hereby appropriated out of the general fund of the state, the sum of fifteen thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, with which to defray the expenses of the Nebraska state collective exhibit at the world's industrial and cotton exposition, at New Orleans, La., December 16, 1884, to May 31, 1885.

SEC. 2. That the said sum of fifteen thousand governor. dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
