Expenses in connection with the almshouse for the year ending September 30, 1903, $15,451.02; estimated weekly expense per person, $1.72; expense of temporary (outdoor) relief administered by the superintendent and overseers of the poor, $11,818.79; expense of support in whole or in part in institutions : other than the almshouse, $10,179.01; aggregate expenditures for support and relief, $37.448.82. Total number in the almshouse during the year, 213; remaining October 1, 1903, 126 (86 males and 40 females), including 12 feeble-minded or idiotic, 1 deaf, 5 blind persons and 3 epileptics; number of wayfarers to whom meals were furnished at the almshouse, 5; receiving temporary (outdoor) relief, 1,114; number supported in other institutions, 236; total supported and relieved during the year, 1,568.
