Attached to the almshouse are 430 acres of land, 150 of which are reported to be under cultivation; value of land and buildings, $16,000; estimated value of the products of the farm during the year, $1,650.

Expenses in connection with the almshouse for the year ending September 30, 1903, $11,460.50; estimated weekly expense per person, $2.42; expense of temporary (outdoor) relief administered by the overseers of the poor, $7,840.68; expense of support in institutions other than the almshouse, $1,496.50; aggregate expenditures for support and relief, $20,797.68.

Total number of inmates in the almshouse during the year, 131; remaining October 1, 1903, 87 (59 males and 28 females), including 2 blind and 1 deaf person; number of wayfarers to whom meals were furnished at the almshouse, 80; number receiving temporary (outdoor) relief, 586; number supported in other institutions, 32; total number supported and relieved during the year, 829.

Terms and qualifications for admittance.-Free to the destitute; $7 per week in the wards for those who can pay.

Attached to the almshouse are 267 acres of land, 125 of which are reported to be under cultivation; value of land and buildings, $36,000; estimated value of the labor of inmates during the year, $800; estimated value of the products of the farm, $3,000; receipts from sales, $1,074.10.

Expenses in connection with the almshouse for the year ending September 30, 1903, $5,267.60; estimated weekly expense per person, 90 cents; expense of temporary (outdoor) relief administered by the overseers of the poor, $6.264.15; expense of sup

port in institutions other than the almshouse, $5,175; aggregate expenditures for support and relief, $17,006.75.

Total number in the almshouse during the year, 137; remaining October 1, 1903, 64 (38 males and 26 females), including 18 feeble-minded or idiotic, 3 blind and 4 deaf persons; number receiving temporary (outdoor) relief, 1,209; number supported in other institutions, 50; total number supported and relieved dur ing the year, 1,396.
